MASERU- Lesotho has upgraded to full membership of the world governing body of rugby after years of trying to meet the necesaary criteria. This happened today at the World Rugby Interim Meeting of Council in Dublin, Ireland. Spokesperson of the Federation of Rugby Lesotho, Morapeli Motaung confirmed the news. "This news means that the hard work that we have put in has finally paid off," Motaung explained. He also said that this momentous occassion 100% for Lesotho's rugby came with 100% votes. Lesotho was just an Associate Member of World Rugby. Full membership means that now Lesotho is entitled to World Rugby programmes and technical support. He also stated that they had put in their application over a decade ago, in 2013.
