LDF LADIES HIT BY REGISTRATION ISSUES: COACH BLAMES ADMINISTRATOR

LDF Ladies are facing a major setback due to the unavailability of six key players, including their number one goalkeeper, ’Mamakhabane. These players, who are also part of the national team, Mehalalitoe, have been sidelined because of pending registration issues.

Head coach Lengana Nkhethoa expressed frustration over the situation, pointing fingers at a football administrator for the delay. According to Nkhethoa, the administrator reportedly told the players, “Your future is in my hands,” before their names were left out of the LDF Ladies’ team list.

“The most painful part is that these players are called up to the national team while we can’t use them in our games due to pending registration. This is hurting the team deeply, especially in important matches,” Nkhethoa said.

The players affected by the registration delay recently participated in the COSAFA tournament, representing Lesotho at the highest level. Despite proving their fitness and skill, their absence from the club has left a significant gap in the squad.

Nkhethoa lamented the impact on the team’s performance, saying, “We have to honor our matches without these key players, even though their absence has left us struggling. It’s something we have no control over.”

With the January transfer window being the earliest opportunity to resolve the issue, LDF Ladies will have to continue without their top talents.

The delay has sparked concerns about administrative inefficiencies and their effect on the team’s success.
