LDF LADIES FC WON’T BEAT US EVEN EVEN IN THE SECOND LEG, SAYS COACH KILLER

MASERU-Kick4Life Women FC secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over LDF Ladies FC in a Women’s Super League match played at Mejametalana Airwing. LDF Ladies were the hosts but couldn’t stop Kick4Life, who executed their game plan to perfection.

After the match, Kick4Life’s assistant coach, Teboho Takisi, popularly known as “Coach Killer,” shared his thoughts on the game. He praised his players for sticking to the plan they had worked on during the week.

“We played well according to how we planned. Everything we practiced in training helped us win this game,” he said.

First-Half Substitution Explained
Coach Killer explained the early substitution his team made in the first half.
“The player we subbed is new to the team, so the opponents didn’t know her. I told her beforehand that we would sub her after 15 minutes, and that’s what we did. The opponents know most of our players, so I wanted to give others a chance because all my players are hard workers,” he explained.

The coach revealed how they adapted their formation to counter LDF Ladies’ strengths.
“We usually play with a 4-4-2 formation, but for this game, we switched to 3-5-2. LDF is strong in the midfield, so we wanted to match them by adding more players there. I also instructed my players to target their defense with passes behind their center-backs because they struggle with aerial balls.
LDF Ladies FC Won’t Beat Us Even in the Second Leg, Says Kick4Life Coach

Kick4Life Women FC defeated LDF Ladies FC 2-1 in an exciting Women’s Super League match at Mejametalana Airwing. Despite being the hosts, LDF Ladies couldn’t overcome Kick4Life, who executed a well-planned strategy.

Speaking after the game, Kick4Life assistant coach, Teboho “Coach Killer” Takisi, expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance.

“We played well according to how we planned. Everything we practiced during the week helped us win this game,” he said.

Coach Killer revealed that he changed the team’s usual 4-4-2 formation to a 3-5-2 for this match to counter LDF Ladies’ strong midfield.

“LDF is good in the middle, so we added more players there to balance them. I also told my players to focus on passing the ball behind their center-backs because they struggle with aerial balls. That’s how we managed to score,” he explained.

The coach also explained the first-half substitution of a new player.

“The girl we subbed is new to the team, so the opponents didn’t know her. I told her we would take her off after 15 minutes, and that’s what we did. The opponents know most of our players, so I wanted to give others a chance because all my players work hard,” he said.

Coach Killer is confident in his team’s chances of winning the league despite facing challenges with player availability.

“We want to win the league. We failed to win the top 8 because they beat us on penalties, but we accepted the loss and went back to the drawing board. Even in the second leg, LDF Ladies won’t beat us; if they win, it will only be by scoring more goals than us because some of our forwards are still in school and not always available,” he said.

In addressing the issue of player availability, the coach plans extra training sessions during school holidays.

“When schools close, we will try to do extra training so that the players can get more practice,” he concluded.

With this win, Kick4Life Women FC has sent a strong message to the league, showing their determination to claim the title this season.
