LDF LADIES COACH CRITISIZES BANTU LADIES BEHAVIOR DURING THE MATCH

MASERU- LDF Ladies head coach, Lengana Nkhethoa, has expressed disappointment with the behavior of Bantu Ladies FC players during their Women Super League match on Sunday at Mejametalana Airwing.

Speaking after the game, Coach Nkhethoa said Bantu players were lying on the ground and laughing in the middle of the match. He believes such actions hurt the reputation of the league and women’s football in Lesotho.

“What Bantu FC Ladies players did damages the reputation of our league,” Nkhethoa said. “During the game, their players were lying down and laughing. This is painful because we all want our football to grow, yet some people are damaging its image. That really hurts.”

Nkhethoa added that while this behavior was disappointing, it was not the reason LDF Ladies failed to perform at their best.

“We didn’t play well as LDF Ladies. We should have punished them for their behavior by scoring more goals, maybe one every five minutes, to show that what they were doing was unacceptable. But we failed to do that.”

Despite these frustrations, LDF Ladies managed to win the match, but Coach Nkhethoa emphasized the need for players and teams to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship to promote the growth of women’s football in the country
