FC Stoko head coach, Paul Setoko, shared his thoughts after his team’s impressive 4-1 win against Bantu Ladies FC on Sunday at Agric Maseru in a Women’s Super League match.
Setoko emphasized the importance of earning points to stay competitive in the league.
“In football, the most important thing is 3 points, which will keep you in the league and make you one of the teams that try to compete,” he said.
The game saw an early setback for FC Stoko when a player was injured, forcing Setoko to make an unplanned substitution in the first half.
“It was still early in the game when I had to make a substitution. But at least in unplanned situations like injuries, there are players on the bench who can replace them,” he explained.
When asked about the team’s goals for the season, Setoko said they aim to finish in the top 4.
“Our team is just new in the Super League, but we are not that new. It’s just that we have a lot of young and new players, so that’s why we are aiming for the top 4,” he stated.
The victory against Bantu Ladies FC was a strong performance from FC Stoko, and it shows the team’s determination to achieve their season objectives.
