
MASERU- The final national is faced with a tough Angola challenge this Saturday in the Champions of African Nations (CHAN) in Durban.
With the final squad selected, a few changes have been made. Matlama goalie has made a cut into the senior national side at the expense of Motlatsi Sebapala. He also said that the return of Jane Thabants’o into the national team is a very good big boost to the team.
He also said that despite his age, he has played a pivotal role in his Matlama and that the national team needs his experience. Jane replaces Lemohang Lints’a who sustained an injury while on national duty.
Moreover the leading league goal scorer Lehlohonolo Fothoane is also nursing a mild knock that the team doctor believes will be fine by Thursday. His teammate Hlompho Kalake also came into the national team with minor knock but has since started training with the team.
The team started training on 2nd of December and has been together in camp since Monday.
Leslie Nots’i thanked the premier league teams for always availing their players.
“We need to score goals because to qualify we need to win, and to win we must score goals,” Nots’i said.
The team captain Rethabile Rasethunts’a also believes that the team is ready for Angola.
“This time we have prepared enough to win this match, and i believe we will win it,” Rasethunts’a said.
He also added that goal scoring has been their major challenge and they are working towards resolving it.
