KICK4LIFE WOMEN EDGE PAST BOKAMOSO LADIES IN LAST-MINUTE VICTORY

Bokamoso Ladies Head Coach, Rorisang Makoetlane, shared his thoughts after his team lost 3-2 to Kick4Life Women in a Women Super League match on Sunday at Mejametalana Airwing. Despite leading 1-0 at halftime, Bokamoso Ladies couldn’t hold onto their lead.

“We didn’t play as we had prepared,” Coach Makoetlane admitted. “We tried to contain Kick4Life, but in the last minutes, one of our defenders made a mistake, and we conceded. Next time, we will try to fix such mistakes.”

The coach explained that his strategy in the first half was to play defensively since Kick4Life has quality players. “We were playing behind the ball, which is why we managed to lead 1-0 at halftime. But in the second half, I decided to attack, and unfortunately, we conceded two goals.”

The first goal came from a cross, where defensive errors were costly. “When Kick4Life pressed us and delivered a cross, our defenders and goalkeeper were not positioned properly,” said Makoetlane.

“The second goal came from the midfield. Our players failed to close spaces, and we were outsmarted.”

The coach also revealed his plan to improve the team by teaching them different formations.

“It was the first time we used this formation today. I showed them how to handle Kick4Life, but the players need to learn more formations and how to apply them in matches,” he added.

Bokamoso Ladies fought hard, but Kick4Life Women secured their winning goal in the dying minutes of the game. Coach Makoetlane is determined to address the mistakes and help his team improve in upcoming matches.
